I ordered this book because I heard good things about it on the internet. It was cheap so I bought it right away. So far I've read about 90 pages. It's not like the Death Note anime but more of a side story involving a serial killer case with L and Naomi Misora. The characters are more or less like their anime depictions. They go into detail with the murders which is a little graphic if you picture it in your mind. A good read. I've enjoyed it so far and don't regret buying it.
Amazing book! Can’t put it down! If you are a fan of Death Note, and especially of L, this is a must-have. For the beautiful quality of the book, I found the price to be very reasonable. I posted some pics of the outside of the book, as well as a couple of the opening pages - just reading those will make you want this book if you love L! Narration by Mello.

We all know the story is good, so I'll review the specs of the physical book. The pages are the softest pages I've held between my fingers in my entire life. I love them. I also like the cover, and how it was designed. (The black part of the cover is fabric)The white part of the cover has a nice texture and all of the materials are very good. It is the highest quality book Ive had in years.I give 4 stars because the silver ink is very delicate on the side of the book and started fading on the fabric which is a bummer because you cant grab the book without touching it.Its a very good book, but also a bit delicate. Still, Id recommend it.
This really exceeded my expectations. This book is a rather good one for only being a side story and was very well written. I would recommend reading this if you are a death note fan. Even though this is technically a prequel to the Death Note series, i suggest watching the anime or reading the manga first. The book is more enjoyable if you have some kind of prior knowledge about some of the characters. The book does not develop a lot of the characters as much as it should. So even though this book is dependent upon the series that spawned it to be enjoyed, it is still enjoyable to anyone familiar with the material.

This book is of the highest quality. It is beautiful in every way. Other than the cover jacket getting jacked up in shipping I have no complaints! If you are a fan of Death Note then you need to own this book!!
Death Note: Another Note - The Los Angeles BB Murder CasesI had a good time reading this novel authored by Nisioisin. It follows the way the manga traced. I can say it is smart, I got fooled by the plot, I thought I could predict the story, but it blew my mind when I went to a main turning point (which I am not commenting here, it's up to you to read it). I think you may like reading this novel after reading the manga, or at least watching the anime; eventhough it is a prequel, you'll enjoy it much more reading as I suggested, although it is not necessary to read manga before, you can grasp the plot the other way around. I awarded four stars because the conclusion of the novel was a little bit forced, I would like it to have some more pages to give it the ending that the novel deserved.
