We purchased this to give our third grader a heads-up for the upcoming test in school. The ELA sections of the book seem fine, but the Math section contains mistakes, several of them in fact. The provided keys are confusing and 2 contained confusing errors in actual explanations. In all, the whole math section is awful, filled with testing on terms and definitions that mean little for a 9-year old, like "model a concept of sharing in division", or "explain how you can use a principle of partitioning or grouping", or "illustrate to show a concept of multiplication". Word problems are wordy and ill-composed for simple operation problems of addition/subtraction and multiplication/division. If you look for a good preparatory material, at least consider the one with no errors in it.
I was excited to get this, however it was a bit difficult for a third grader. I used it to review at the beginning of 4th grade.
The book said it was best used for another state once I received it. However, Seattle uses the same standards as that state and has a very similar format.
this was a nice book for an outline, I did have to supplement a lot.
