Well, the werewolves are restless, old family and friends show up and we get to see what mages like to do in their spare time This is the second book that deals with Monty, a mage you should never call a wizard and Simon, who is cursed alive by certain Goddess he ticked off with his charming personality.Not to forget Monty's old love interest showing up, and she is not one to tick off. A dragon whom seems to be playing both sides, and let's not forget that ever loving puppy dog Peaches. And a necromancer that can't seem to take no for an answer.I enjoyed it very much and cannot wait to see what happens next since Monty has done a few things to make some more interesting people show up in the next book.
This series just gets better and better. I loved this continuation of Simon and Monty, along with Peaches. There were moments I was so tense as the action grew worse....then there were laugh out loud moments that just made my eyes water. I love all of the characters and their special eccentricities and gifts. The story is well written, fast paced, filled with surprises and most of all.....you the reader are totally engaged with each second of the story. I cannot wait for book three.....hope it comes sooner than later. I happily and heartily recommend this book to those with an abiding love of fantasy, paranormal, magic, sorcery and such. You won't be disappointed. Be sure to catch the first book in the series....it all flows together. Thanks to the author for the time, effort and soul that went into making this second in the series just as fabulous as the first one.
So this is the story of Peaches adventures with her bond mate Simon and his overly destructive mage friend Tristan. Hey this is MY review and I deside who gets featured. The 2nd entry in the series continues the destruction and action in the 1st. What could ever go wrong when you combine a newly immoryal human with an insanely powerful and destructive mage and throw in a Hellhound ? Buildings blowup cars destroyed, what more could you want ? How about intresting characters, powerful enemies and PEACHES the Hellhound . Take a dive into the story of an insane Mage's desire to rid the world of supernatural beings and be ready for action, adventure, plot twists and plenty of mayhem and destruction. Plus Peaches ! And yes I do love Peaches !!!!!
How well do we really know Monty? In the second installment of the Montague and Strong Case Files series by Orlando Sanchez, Full Moon Howl, the story line follows a case that evidence points back to Monty. So it goes, werewolves are infected, attacking innocent people in New York City and the Dark Council once again gets Simon and Monty on the case. Since only a powerful mage is most likely behind it, Monty becomes the primary suspect.As we follow along on this crazy ride, our two heroes are hunted down and they are determined to find the real culprit who is behind the crime. Sanchez once again takes us down many paths, filled with action and great characters. How can you not fall in love with a hellhound named Peaches?Witty and fun, you will enjoy this continued story of the best detectives in New York City. But, what is the story behind Chi and Simon? I guess we will have to continue to read to find out!
Just like the first book in this series, I have already read Full Moon Howl more than once. I love getting to know the characters, book by book. It's awesome that there are creatures and characters from multiple cultures and mythologies. When I read about some god or monster I'm not familiar with, I may go and spend an hour studying it because they are just that interesting. As always... eager for the next installment. I'm getting quite a collection of Sanchez's books. Ready for more!
They're back. And troubles abound. First they're facing an epidemic in the werewolves. Then the Council blames Monty and sends a fearsome agent to bring Monty in "Dead or Alive". And if this isn't enough an old flame of Monty shows up. And that's not all.... but if you want to find out, buy the book.A suggestion -- get and read the first book in the series. It'll double your pleasure, double your fun. You'll also get introduced to Peaches.
Monty is being blamed for the werewolves running rabid. Hunted by Beck, he needs to find the escaped mage that is to blame. Strong's powers are increasing, and a powerful mage hunts a stolen artifact. But Quan and Monty may not be enough to stop the dragon and the mage's deadly outbreak even with Strong immortality. Good series.
This book is a great continuation of tombstone and butterfly not a lot of rehash (which I prefer), and we learn a bit more about our two main characters. This book has a dragon, a negomancer (new to me too), werewolves, god's, and of course mages and other magic users. A fun read and a nice break. Look forward to the next book.
